This series of works glows with artificial colors that resemble neon lights or light pollution, rendering indented fragments of birds. It reflects Kramer’s interest in negative space with figurative cut outs allowing bright paint on the back of the work to naturally reflect on the white wall behind it. The resulting effect gives eerie life to the ‘emptiness’ on the surface.
