Alessio de Girolamo: Techno Shanghai

On the occasion of Real Time, Alessio de Girolamo's solo exhibition at Capsule Venice and of BIENNALE MUSICA 2024 - 68TH INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF CONTEMPORARY MUSIC, the gallery is proud to present the artist's live set, 'Techno Shanghai'. Taking place in the garden of the gallery's Venice branch, the set will showcase de Girolamo's newest creations, intertwining his own musical history and inspirations with the soundscape of the city of Shanghai.

 

In his solo exhibition Real Time, Alessio de Girolamo, through a new declination of the software developed with LIM - Department of Musical Informatics of the University of Milan State University - uses the everyday and urban dimensions as a real orchestra in which scores of classical music are played in real time through the live streaming video and sound contributions of people in the public space in the area of the Biennale Arte 2024, in a continuous cross-reference between random and coded, natural and artificial dimensions.
