Xue Ying (b. 1993, Shandong, China) lives and works in Shanghai. Her practice takes root in her personal narrative of a Chinese woman navigating global patriarchal capitalism. Working across sculpture, textile, installation, text, and socially engaged practice, she investigates family dynamics, power structures, feminist philosophy, poetry, and literature. Xue received her BA from the University of Leeds, UK, and graduated with an MA in Public Sphere from the Royal College of Art, London, in 2019.
