香港艺术家陈丽同的创作背后，源于古董与社区物料的灵感 September 1, 2021香港艺术家陈丽同出生于古董世家，17岁那年只身运赴美国留学，竟意外地踏上了艺术之路。2020年，她获选为宝马艺术之旅的得奖艺术家，不久便带着相机和笔记本开启了一段与物料不可分割的艺术旅程。 为深入了解陈丽同作品背后的创作故事，巴塞尔艺术展来到她位于香港葵涌的工作室，除了寻迹她的艺术创作灵感，同时实地看看她从街道上拾回来的艺术原材料如何给作品赋予生命力。在工作室里收藏了她毕业后在英国约克郡所制作的小型雕塑作品、在香港码头和社区收集到的运输托盘与汽车零件。待我们一起去探寻这些物料所带给陈丽同的灵感。 出生于经营古董的家庭如何启发你的艺术实践？ “ 从小我都没有把古董当作艺术来看，一心想我不要继承这门生意。就算小时候跟家人去参观博物馆，我总会觉得很无聊。在美国留学时，起初也很少和别人谈及自己的成长背景，但选读艺术后，朋友对我的创作都很好奇，常常问我的艺术灵感来源是什么，才让我意识到要重新审视自己的过去。自此，当我每次回到香港时，都会以一个全新的角度去看待古董，亦对古董多了许多新的体会。毕业后，我回到香港跟父亲学习关于古董的知识。一般学校会让你从考古学或历史的角度去解读古董，但是从父亲身上我却看到他视古董为有生命的而不是一件死物，他教会了我从美学和感观的角度鉴赏，更重要是去认识每件古董的独特形态和色彩的组合，要明白每件古董所蕴含的意义是不尽相同。 ” 去年的“走进荷里活道”项目与古董背景有什么样的联系？ “ 在“走进荷里活道”中所呈现的作品，真切体现了我的古董家庭背景对我艺术创作的影响，此前从来都未曾在我的创作里出现过。我并不想做传统博物馆那样的古董展览，所以和策展人陈芍君和张耀辉提议，不妨在古董店里呈现一些当代艺术作品吧。两位策展人在上环长大，所以想做一次和荷里活道歴史相关的展览，而我恰好认识这些古董铺的店主，于是那次展览就是这样构思出来。 陈芍君和张耀辉联络了一些本地艺术家，而他们的作品都涉及到很多不同的媒介。除了以艺术家的身份参与以外，我也协助寻找一些合适的古董铺。要找到适合展示这些非营利的当代艺术作品的古董店其实并不容易，有些规模并不大，有些则是两代相传的店铺。最后我们也用心把不同的艺术家与规模、形式各异的古董铺配对。 ” 今年9月“走进荷 里活道”的第二部分跟上一次展览有什么不同？ “ 去年的展览是和香港艺术发展局合作的，今年的展览将会和香港的南丰集团合作，于4家荷里活道上的古董铺展出新一批艺术家的创作，包括一部分以纺织物形式呈现的作品，同时将在南丰旗下于上环的地标展出一些幕后花絮，让观众更好地了解作品及展览想要带出的讯息。 去年我使用了一些陶俑的碎件作为材料，在很多藏家看来，这些陶俑的保存情况不够好，也就失去了收藏或经济的价值。我认为很有趣的是，是什么条件赋予一件古董或艺术作品这些价值呢？所以在我去年开始的宝马艺术之旅，其中一个目的是去探索更多的材料，并探索他们的价值和意义是如何随着时间演变。 ” 为什么在“走进荷里活道”没选用以往常用的塑料货物托盘？ “ 我从小居住在香港的荔景，望出窗户外就是葵涌的货柜码头，日日夜夜都可以看到装卸货物的情境，那些货物托盘就成为了我作品中最重要的载体。今年5月在巴塞尔艺术展香港展会的展出作品，也选用了货物托盘作为主要材料。 过去在海外生活时，每当想起香港，就会想到货柜码头，而货柜码头是象征香港的国际贸易港地位。在香港历史、经济和城市认同中扮演着重要角色，但往往被忽视, 没有什么比它更具有代表性了。后来我开始留意街道上的货物托盤，并开始收集它们。 而为去年“走进荷里活道”展览创作时，我才第一次选用宋代至明代的单色釉碎瓷片 (如影青瓷、龙泉窑青瓷和耀州窑青瓷) 和陶俑的碎件作为材料探寻考古与个人历史之间的联系。陶瓷和陶器是我自小接触的古代文物，它们对我有着特殊的意义它们对我有特殊的意义。例如在作品《青瓷编织者》镶嵌于银圈之中瓷片的釉色深浅不一，形态质朴而起伏有致，反映出宋代工艺含蓄温厚的美学哲思。而同场展出的一系列摄影作品，启发自我和父亲以放大镜研究古瓷器的回忆。照片特写瓷釉的表面纹理，呈现微细的裂纹和气泡，以及因埋藏地下日久产生的温润光泽。例如另一组小型雕塑我混合了陶俑碎片和一些在日常生活中收集的对象，以想象出不同的角色再次展现。将古代和当代互相结合，塑造另一场历史与现代的对话。...Read moreAlice Wang, Leelee Chan | Group Show 'Liquid Ground' | Para Site
