‘Golden Error’ is made of car paint on a stainless steel plate. The pattern is modelled from a Warring States Era (c. 475 to 221 BC) belt buckle. The title‘错金银’(each character:‘错’- as noun:error; as verb: intervein. ‘金’- gold. ‘银’-silver), is a play on words, which is actually an ancient ornamental technique especially for bronze ware. The original process is embedding gold and silver into a copper tire after engraving it.
