'Escape' was conceived in state of melancholy and play, a sad kind of musing. The figure is both sensually dipping her foot into a "pool" which is also a void and a long deadly fall. It's a bit flirting with the abyss, like hanging over the edge of a tall bridge and feeling the sun and the breeze and the wind, all of life with the possibility of it ending. The title leads the viewer to this kind of fantasy divertissement place that a lot of us are inhabiting at the moment.
It refers to the escape from ones reality by distracting ourselves and going interior, but also to the flirtation of different kinds of suicide - career, social, literal, political.
