The four photos are photograms of objects (ulexite, Iceland spar, prism) that produce optical effects — refracting or polarizing light, either through their crystalline structures or based on their shapes....
The four photos are photograms of objects (ulexite, Iceland spar, prism) that produce optical effects — refracting or polarizing light, either through their crystalline structures or based on their shapes. These bodies of light were originally captured on wet-plate collodion surfaces, which were then transferred to silver gelatin prints.
四张照片皆为物影成像照片，所用的物件是能够通过其晶体结构或形状来折射和分化光线而制造特定光学现象的冰硼钠石、冰洲石和棱镜。这些光学现象显影在湿法火棉胶玻璃版上，而后转换成明胶银盐照片。
