"S-2" experiments with thermal ink, as images slowly materialize out of “nothingness”, only to disappear and reappear. Two sheets of Arches watercolour paper overlap a grey aluminum plate, transfering gradually from dark to almost complete white. The effect reminds of the gradual appearance of a starry night, the passage of time from dusk to dawn, and ultimately the brilliant flash of an exploding star’s shockwave.
